JPG, PNG, WEBP · up to 15 MB each · 20 at a time

Processed entirely on your device. JPEG is recompressed at high quality; WebP is exported as PNG.

THE FILE

What gets removed

The tool redraws the image and exports a new file. Original EXIF camera and GPS data, XMP fields, IPTC information, C2PA content credentials, and PNG text chunks are not copied into the new file.

THE IMAGE

What stays

The visible picture remains. Pixel-level watermarks, including SynthID, may remain detectable. For supported SynthID processing, use our image tool.

Remove AI label: common questions

Does removing EXIF alone remove an AI label?

Not always. AI-related information can also be stored in XMP, C2PA, IPTC, and format-specific chunks. This tool creates a fresh file instead of deleting just EXIF.

Will this remove the AI label on every platform?

No guarantee. It can remove labels triggered by metadata in the file, but platforms may also use their own detection, account information, or disclosures. Existing posts are not changed.

Does this remove SynthID or an invisible watermark?

No. Invisible watermarks embedded in image pixels are separate from file metadata. Removing metadata does not prove a watermark is gone.

Are my images uploaded?

No. This page processes selected images locally with browser image and Canvas APIs. It does not send the image files to our server.

Does this change image quality?

JPEG files are recompressed at high quality, so the file bytes and possibly small image details change. PNG output is lossless after decoding, though color handling or metadata-dependent orientation may differ.

Removing metadata does not change how an image was created. Follow disclosure rules that apply where you publish it.
